Installation & Setup

First-Time Use

Prime the brewing system before first brew cycle.

  1. Fill water reservoir with fresh cold water
  2. Place large mug (10oz or larger) on drip tray
  3. Lift and close brew handle without inserting pod
  4. Select largest brew size (10oz for K-Cup or 30oz for K-Carafe)
  5. Press brew button to start priming cycle
  6. Repeat priming cycle 2-3 times until water flows consistently
  7. Brewer is now ready for normal use

CAUTION! First few brews may contain manufacturing residues. Discard first 2-3 brews.

Brewing Process

Tip: Preheat mug with hot water for hotter coffee. Use filtered water for better taste.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance.

  1. Daily: Wipe exterior with damp cloth
  2. Weekly: Clean water reservoir and drip tray
  3. Monthly: Clean pod holder and needle
  4. As needed: Descale when indicator light appears
  5. Replace water filter every 2 months or 60 tank refills

WARNING! Unplug brewer before cleaning. Never immerse in water.

Descaling Procedure

Descale every 3-6 months or when descale indicator appears.

  1. Empty water reservoir and fill with descaling solution
  2. Place large container on drip tray (at least 40oz capacity)
  3. Press and hold 8oz and 10oz brew buttons for 3 seconds
  4. Select largest brew size and start brew cycle
  5. Repeat brew cycles until "Add Water" message appears
  6. Rinse reservoir thoroughly and fill with fresh water
  7. Repeat brew cycles with fresh water 5-6 times to rinse
  8. Descaling complete when "Ready to Brew" appears
