Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all components. Place on clean, level surface.

  1. Remove packaging materials and stickers from brewer.
  2. Wash removable water reservoir with warm, soapy water and rinse thoroughly.
  3. Place reservoir back into brewer and fill with fresh cold water.
  4. Plug power cord into grounded electrical outlet.
  5. Prime brewing system by running water through without K-Cup pod.

WARNING! Do not use hot water in reservoir. Ensure hands are dry when handling electrical components.

First-Time Use

Power on brewer; follow initial setup procedure.

  1. Press POWER button to turn on brewer.
  2. Allow brewer to heat up (approximately 3 minutes).
  3. Program preferred brew size: Press SMALL, MEDIUM, or LARGE button.
  4. Set auto-off time: Press and hold AUTO OFF button to cycle through options.
  5. Insert K-Cup pod and begin first brew cycle.

CAUTION! First few brews may produce unusual taste - this is normal during initial setup.

Brewing Process

Simple three-step brewing process.

  1. Lift handle and insert K-Cup pod into pod holder.
  2. Close handle firmly until it clicks into place.
  3. Place mug on drip tray and press desired brew size button.
  4. Brewing begins automatically and completes in under 1 minute.
  5. Remove mug and enjoy. Lift handle to eject used pod.

Tip: For stronger coffee, use SMALL cup setting with any K-Cup pod.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance.

  1. Daily: Wipe exterior with damp cloth.
  2. Weekly: Remove and wash water reservoir.
  3. Monthly: Clean needle and pod holder area.
  4. As needed: Descale when indicator light appears.
  5. Drip tray: Remove and clean regularly to prevent overflow.

CAUTION! Unplug brewer before cleaning. Never immerse brewer in water.

Descaling Procedure

Descale every 3-6 months or when indicator appears.

  1. Prepare descaling solution according to package instructions.
  2. Pour solution into empty water reservoir.
  3. Place large mug on drip tray (at least 16oz capacity).
  4. Press and hold SMALL and LARGE buttons for 3 seconds to enter descale mode.
  5. Press BREW button to begin descaling cycle.
  6. Repeat brewing process until reservoir is empty.
  7. Rinse reservoir thoroughly and fill with fresh water.
  8. Run several brew cycles with clean water to rinse system.

WARNING! Use only Keurig descaling solution or vinegar solution. Follow instructions carefully.
